Not a day goes by that I don’t get a call from someone wondering if we can ship to them. The easy answer is, YES! We’ve shipped all over the country even as far as Alaska. In the last six months alone we’ve shipped to 15 different states.
Wondering what to expect when it comes to freight rates?. For a full unit (1,000 – 1,200 sq ft) you can expect to add anywhere from $0.70/sq ft to $1.00/sq ft to the price of the material. The good news is, there are a couple things that we can do to lower these rates. First, having a forklift onsite to unload the material will eliminate the need for the costly liftgates. Many rental facilities offer forklift/skidsteer rental that may help offset this cost. Have other construction materials requiring delivery? Set them up for the same day to get the most bang from your buck.
Shipping to a commercial address versus a residential or construction address will also help save on the freight rates. Semis generally charge a premium for having to deliver in a residential neighborhood, which are typically more difficult for them to maneuver through. Commercial businesses tend to be located closer to major highways and more commonly traveled trucker routes, thus offering an advantage to the trucking company, which translates into savings for the consumer.
There is no skirting the issue, freight for what we do is not cheap. However, in many instances we are still able to save our customers money by offering consistently competitive pricing. We are oftentimes more than $2.00/sq ft cheaper than nationwide competitors.
Currently freight rates must be quoted on a case by case basis, as they depend on the size and weight of the shipment. To get a freight quote, call us directly at: 218-729- 7842, email: [email protected] or visit our website and fill out the quote request form on the Contact Us page.
